I very much enjoy working with Jasmine for costume pieces. She is very easy to communicate with, is honest about deadlines and her availability to complete projects, does quality work so that my costumes last and look lovely and is able to bring my visions into actuality. She also is willing to deconstruct and add to existing pieces so that I can incorporate items I already have into costumes. I certainly recommend working with her!

I cannot say enough about Jasmine's hand work! Her skills far exceed that of a general seamstress with her endless imagination and knowledge of versatile fabrics, materials and concepts of design anything she creates is sure to be noticed and adored. Anyone would be very fortunate to have a piece Jasmine had created among there collection and she is wonderfully positive to work with when you need fitting or consultation. Her work has my highest praise! - Katrina J.
Jasmine is a professional And friendly seamstress. She easily fixed my cabaret costume that was too big for me and it’s never looked better! Bellydance costumes require special skill to alter and she has that skill. Would recommend for anyone looking for good quality work. - Heather F.
Absolutely loved my Rapunzel dress! Even after the dress was finished Jasmine made extra adjustments to make the dress easy to put on. Definitely worth it! - Celia S.

Over 20 years of experience as a performer made for the perfect parallel as a costumer. It started with sewing clothes by hand for my dolls as a child...and grew into an obsession. Learned how to use a machine in my formative teen years and learned a lot from my mistakes. In college I made costumes for every dance class performance. I took a few classes through Canada College in Redwood City, CA which helped me figure out where my passion lies as well as helped me improve my skills. I went on to work with the Vintage and Costume industry and would provide alterations for customers when needed. After a brief stint working for an in home online costume collective I decided to go out on my own. Anastasia lounge wear and retrofit clothing was born. Having learned how to french copy and eventually be able to simply look at a pattern and be able to replicate it with my own stylistic twist, I created a fun clothing line. From there it morphed into a small business where I created a line of aprons, home goods, tutus and bloomers. At this point I was mostly using up-cycled fabric and embracing the opportunity to create with a greener conscience. In the common era I am still making costumes, for myself and for others., and will continue until I can no more. See Gallery below for examples.

My first real business venture into making Recycled handmade home goods. I was inspired around what rituals we kept in today's busy world. We eat every day, it is what fuels us, our temples of bodies. Hopefully delicious meals that we have a hand in making, and possibly growing. And what better way to meet those sacred duties than to be adorned in darling vintage inspired aprons!

Junk to Funk
In the recent past...Instructor at SUN (Schools Uniting Neighborhoods) after school programs at Cesar Chavez and Humboldt.
Every week we gather together and make new crafts, all out of "junk" and learn about how to live more consciously and sustainably.
This term is super exciting as we are preparing for a fashion showcase and using "design challenges" to keep us on our toes.
You can read more here about Junk 2 Funk and it's creatrix.
